My cat eats raw food and looks much healthier now, she loves this much more than kibbles, and it's not even expensive or hard to balance. And i don't have to be worry about whether the cat food will arrive on time or not, and what to feed her if the delivery is delayed(we don't have good cat food in our country), because you can just go to store and buy meat, offals, fish, etc at any time. And yes you can see yourself that she digests it much better, her stool is much smaller, and you don't have to do "scientific studies" to find that out. I don't care what he's yapping about

I wonder why there aren't any peer-reviewed studies on raw diets? Maybe because no corporations would directly benefit from said studies proving animals are just fine without processed food. Additionally, it seems like liability is really why raw diets can't be recommended in a general sense. There simply is no benefit in doing so and only potential risk.

Regardless of your standing as a veterinarian, the average lifespan of the dog has significantly decreased over the past century. Curiously enough humans have only been feeding their dogs kibble for the past 2 centuries. But sure your studies which are funded by the companies that produce the food are completely correct and without any bias.

This means that while yes, dogs are different than wolfs (because evolution) they're still not that far off. Then disregarding the effect of raw diets on dog's breath, stool and general health due to there being "no studies" showing that it's true, when in reality no one has tested for it so we can't tell if it's true or not. Regarding the imbalances yes, the studies show imbalances... one of the studies was made with only 5 RMBDs, which doesn't seem like a good sample size to me, and the other study was made with 95 RMBDs, which is better but still on the low end. If anything it shows that pet owners going for raw food diets should get properly informed before doing so since in that larger study 60% of RMBDs were imbalanced, which means that it is possible to have a proper balance if you educate yourself. The only fair point in this video is the risk of contamination in raw foods due to improper management of them. Which the article encapsulates perfectly. That being said even the article states there needs to be more research done in these topics. Andrew didn't expect for anyone to actually read through the article he's basing this video on. I don’t believe in feeding kibble but I also don’t feed raw because the risk to me, my partner, future children, and my other pets isn’t worth feeding my cat raw. My cat eats high quality wet food. I don’t want to risk giving myself or others a bacterial infection or parasite infestation. Plus canned food is easier for travel. It’s significantly easier to bring him camping or on a plane using canned food than having to worry about refrigeration.

You have to know what you’re doing. If you buy commercial raw only buy from a company that uses HPP processing on it this will kill all the bacteria in the meat. If you make it yourself, buy chicken parts, such as bone in thighs and drumsticks and sanitize the meat yourself, you can look it up online how to do it rinse off and then grind your own. I have never had any problems as long as I’ve done this.

The amount of recalls on store bought kibble is probably much larger than the amount of recalls on raw food. Vets don't want animals on raw food cause it'll put them out of business. 🙄

My pup was having a stomach troubles with kibble multiple that said the same thing feed a raw meat diet it's better for her stomach so I don't know what this guy is talking about ever since she got on a raw meat diet she grew her fur back she gained the perfect amount of weight her bowels are better please don't listen to this guy he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about

This is so bullshit. Dang he's killing pets. I have my cats on raw and they are amazing at 12+ years...like kittens. I lost so many kitties from kidney disease from kibble and even canned food. Not only are my kitties completely carnivore...so am I. And ferals eat roadkill...get real.

Yet my vet straight up said to start feeding a single protein raw food diet for my cat with no teeth and bad allergies... She improved! I'm not against kibble or canned (good ones anyways...)... But raw and home cooked is incredibly viable.

Have been feeding raw my whole 22 years, my family’s been doing it before I was around. We have dogs of all sizes from working border collies to breeding mixed large game hunting dogs. None have lived under 14 years due to health. What we call workplace accidents sure but their bloodwork comes back excellent. They eat everything in the bowl n hate kibble, other ranchers around here feed their dogs kibble and constantly put dogs down due to poor health. Not us! I mean apparently vets think that animals know how to cook their food. Now if you don't have the availability to feed thier animal actual food than sure, But in reality Animals food only came too through advertising for people that didn't have time to make thier pets food. Which means if your buying cheap who knows where it came from meat from your local shopping store than yeah they could get sick, Especially if you don't freeze it for so long before hand & especially if its from a unhealthy animal like say Pigs. No one should be eating or Feeding theirs pets Meat from a predator, Fish would be the only possible exception there. But meats from predators are not safe they contain all sorts of illnesses that most other animals dont. People also get sick from those meats, like Pig, Bear, Wild Cat, so forth so on. To sum it up, is it bad for animals to eat actual food? No its what they have always eaten unless they have learned to cook somehow? Can it be beneficial to feed your animal kibble which is basically bread mixed with oils & some processed meat products? But you gotta know the brand & i wouldn't nescicerily buy the brand a vet tells you either, Look them up, make sure you know how they make it, Make sure you know they check for molds & all that. But at the end of the day its going to stale & processed with a bunch of added minerals (usualy whatever is cheaper like insoluble fiber) That may or may not be fully digestible. But of course in some cases it can be beneficial but its mainly just a lazy issue & money issue. Just because we can deal with processed foods doesn't really mean animals can as easy, It would be like watching a dog start a fire to cook its food or a Wolf for that matter since it has been studied & the in case of the way a dog processes food is 99% identical to a wolf. My dog won't eat the Fresh Pet medley. Smart dog. He loves meat and some fruits and vegetables. He loves the bully sticks of internal organ meat to chew on. He loves all nuts and berries.

Vet 35 years ago said my mini- American Eskimo could eat fish, brewers yeast, garlic powder, eggs. I gave him all 4 he had awesome coat, always healthy and never had fleas and was an outdoor dog. 😉

Dogs are literally ANIMALS. What there teeth were just designed to chew on cereal like food? No there teeth are made for chewing, ripping, and shredding. There digestive tracts are designed to digest raw meat and bone. They are literally wolves but domesticated- It’s fine to also feed air dried and freeze dried and gently cooked but don’t say raw is bad.
